Scope and Contents

Letter from WSC to Louis Alber [President, Affiliated Lecture and Concert Association Incorporated], on his intention to resume his lecture tour of the United States, "I shall be able to begin it, and I will go on till I drop", stating that it would be a pity to spoil the opening meeting in Brooklyn on 14 January, or the New York Economic Club meeting on 18 January with questions which were an anticlimax; he intended to speak for over an hour, and to "reach a culmination", and that while he would have no difficulty dealing with any question on the spur of the moment, he felt that it would spoil the effect on the audience.
