Letter from WSC to Louis Alber [President, Affiliated Lecture and Concert Association Incorporated], regretting that he was forced to decline speaking engagements in New York [United States] due to ill health, following a road accident: "I am growing in strength every day, but am still astonishingly feeble; even the act of dressing or shaving tires me. I spend eighteen out of the twenty-four hours in bed". Also queries press reports that he had challenged Senator William Borah to a debate on the Soviet Union. [Carbon].
