Includes papers on various subjects by various individuals including: a War Cabinet paper on airship construction policy; Jan Smuts [South African Representative on the Imperial War Cabinet] on air preparations and offensives; Sir Maurice Hankey, Secretary to the Cabinet, on airship construction; Sir Edward Carson [First Lord of the Admiralty], Sir Albert Stanley [later 1st Lord Ashfield] President of the Board of Trade, and Ernest Pollock on the proposed economic offensive against Germany; Edwin Montagu [Secretary of State for India] on the trade war against Germany; and a minute by WSC (dating to April 1915) on munitions.Also includes: summaries of the war situation giving details of events in Western and Eastern theatres; minutes of the air policy committee; a report on manpower; and recruitment and printed correspondence from Cecil Spring-Rice [British Ambassador to the United States].
