Includes committee minutes of statements made by: [Sir] Arthur Steel-Maitland, Minister of Labour; WSC, Chancellor of the Exchequer; Sir John Gilmour, Secretary of State for Scotland; Sir Laming Worthington-Evans, Secretary of State for War; Neville Chamberlain, Minister of Health; Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister [earlier Sir Philip Lloyd-Greame, later Lord Swinton] President of the Board of Trade; Clement Tryon, Minister of Pensions on redrafting of the unemployment insurance bill without altering its financial basis but making new provisions for 18-21 year olds. Also includes a copy of the bill and an explanatory memorandum by Steel-Maitland.
