Speech notes for WSC's speech (29 March) on "a matter of confidence" relating to the deletion of a clause from the Education Bill which would accept equal pay for male and female teachers and an ensuing vote of no confidence. Subjects covered include: the strength of British democracy and the House of Commons and the principle of equality between the sexes. Includes note that the speech was not delivered.
