Correspondents include: representatives of MacMillan and Company including Lovat Dickson, [Director] (6); Guy Millard (Foreign Office); James Drawbell, [Editor] of the Sunday Chronicle, sending WSC a copy of his book "Night and Day"; Lieutenant-Colonel George Scovell; Colin Thornley (Colonial Office); representatives of Eyre and Spottiswoode Limited, including Douglas Jerrold [Director] (2); Charles Eade, Editor of the Sunday Dispatch.Other subjects include: corrections to the texts of WSC's works; the publication and rights of various works by WSC abroad; the reproduction of extracts from WSC's works, or articles by WSC; a request for WSC to sign a book "Winston Churchill - Leader in Battle" by A Lerner published by the Davar Publishing Company of Tel Aviv [Palestine, later Israel]; obtaining copies of WSC's early literary works; copyright arrangements for "The River War"; WSC's financial investments; the possible filming of "The River War" and "Savrola".Also includes: royalty statements from George G Harrap and Company and Charles Scribner's Sons; an off-print of "Subaltern's reading" from The Times Broadsheet on WSC's first serious reading of philosophy, history, and religion.
