Includes proofs and cuttings from Collier's for: "Today's Battles" (British title "War on Land" or "How the Armies will fight next time") on developments in military strategy in wars since the American Civil War, tanks, the difficulties facing an aggressor, and the importance of the infantry-man; "The Colony Racket" (British title "Great Britain and the German Colonies") on Germany's claims to have its former colonies returned, giving an historical perspective, comparing [Prince Otto von] Bismarck's attitude to Hitler's; an unpublished article, called in different forms "The De Valera" and "It is Peace in Ireland" on the career of Eamon De Valera, recent negotiations between Britain and Ireland, the position of Ulster [Ireland] and Irish foreign affairs.Also includes: a letter from the Editor of Collier's, William Chenery, on not publishing the De Valera article.
