Includes annotated proofs, galley proofs and cuttings from the Telegraph (and regional newspapers carrying the article) for: "France's New Government" on the frequent changes in government, praise for the new Prime Minister, Edouard Daladier, and asserting the importance of France for European security; "Britain's Deficiencies in Aircraft Manufacture" on purchasing aircraft from the United States and building factories in Canada (with cuttings of an article by John Moore-Brabazon [later 1st Lord Brabazon] and an editorial from the Evening Standard); "Premier's Work for a Non-War System in Europe" on Italy and the Mediterranean, Spain, the German seizure of Austria, and the role of France (with a copy of the 1938 Treaty between the United Kingdom and Italy); "An 'Incident' in China" on Japan's invasion of China and the role of the Soviet Union (with a letter from Robert Howe of the Foreign Office); "National Service", supporting its introduction in the event of war and commenting on its use in World War I; "Factors Which Sway Europe's Fate over Czechoslovakia" on the importance of Germany staying out of Czechoslovakian politics and the need for a solution to the Sudetenland [Czechoslovakia] problem.
