Galley proofs of the following articles by WSC: "My Life" [in 12 parts]: "Looking Back on Sixty Years" on WSC's childhood, education and time at Sandhurst; "Frontier Days in India" on WSC's expedition to India with the 4th Hussars, and the frontier risings of 1897; "Charge of the 21st Lancers" on the battle of Omdurman and the Sudan Campaign; "Taken Prisoner by the Boers" on WSC as a war correspondent in South Africa; "My Escape from Pretoria"; "My Entry into Politics" on writing Lord Randolph Churchill's autobiography and the Free Trade issue; "Changing the Political Camp" on going over to the Liberals, South Africa and the Board of Trade; "Sidney-street and "Peter the Painter" on being Home Secretary and the battle of Sidney Street; "How the Grand Fleet Went to War" on being First Lord of the Admiralty and the outbreak of the First World War; "The Dardanelles Held the Key to Peace" justifying the Dardanelles Expedition, the role of the Navy in the First World War, discovering painting as relief from work, running the Ministry of Munitions; "Back to the Wild Tumult of Peace" on WSC at the War Office and Colonial Office, the Middle East Settlement of 1921 and implementing the Irish Treaty in 1922; "Rise and Fall of Parties and Politicians" on WSC's return to the Conservatives in 1924 and becoming Chancellor of the Exchequer.
