Scope and Contents
Proofs and offprints of articles and short pieces by WSC including: a foreword to a book about Marthe Cnockaert-Roulers and the work of the secret service; "Prohibition"; "Britain must hear the truth" and "Tell England the truth" on the increasing military strengths of Germany and Japan, the likelihood of war in Europe and the importance of increasing the defences of the United Kingdom; an introduction to a reprinted edition of WSC's "The River War" on his experiences in the Sudan; and a reply to a book entitled "Politicians and the War" in which Lord Beaverbrook [earlier Max Aitken] discusses the lack of confidence [Lord Oxford and] Asquith [earlier Herbert Asquith] felt in WSC.
