Correspondents include: Reeves Shaw of the Strand magazine on articles by WSC (4); Jonathan Cape asking WSC to write an introduction to a book on Napoleon; Arthur Bertie; Hugh Dent of J M Dent and Sons (2); Leonie, Lady Leslie giving information about Leonard Jerome [WSC's grandfather]; Ivor Nicholson; Edward Marsh on his work proof-reading WSC's articles (2); Frank Witts, Military Instructor at Sandhurst, on the use of "The World Crisis" as a text book (3); Shane Leslie on the Philippines Islands; Admiral Sir Reginald Hall and Basil Liddell-Hart (2).Also includes copies of letters from WSC to the individuals mentioned above and to Sir Vernon Kell.Other subjects include: errors in "The Eastern Front", Volume 5 of "The World Crisis"; notes on Secret Service work during World War I (including the success of informing Germany of a wire net placed across the Straits of Dover and the work of Martha McKenna); and payments to WSC from The Daily Express.
