Includes proofs and cuttings of an article by WSC on the Budget prepared by Philip Snowden as Chancellor of the Exchequer and of a series of character sketches by WSC on Ramsay MacDonald, 1st Lord Brentford [earlier William Joynson-Hicks] entitled "The truth about 'Jix'", George Bernard Shaw and Nancy, Lady Astor (criticising their visit to the Soviet Union), H G Wells, J H Thomas (on his work with the railway workers trade unions), Arthur Henderson [later Lord Rowley] (entitled "Uncle Arthur"), Sir John Simon, Sir Herbert Samuel, Philip Snowden and David Lloyd George.
