Correspondence, research notes and proofs of articles by WSC: "The United States of Europe" on European affairs and trade, the treaty of Versailles [France], the League of Nations, decisions made by [Aristide] Briand and the positions of the United States and Canada; "The Truth about the Dardanelles" including WSC's relationship with Lord Fisher at the Admiralty; "A Great Big Idea" on European affairs; "Why Pay More Taxes" including a statement by WSC on the Budget; "Mr Churchill advises take Palestine dispute to the League of Nations" or "Lord Passfield [earlier Sidney Webb] and the Zionist Movement" on the Balfour declaration and the establishment of a Jewish National Home in Palestine; and "Import Boards: Socialist Food Taxes" on the agricultural crisis, trade and the impact of socialism.Also includes copies of letters from Alec Slater, President of the Liverpool Corn Trade Association to Brendan Bracken and notes by the latter.
