Correspondents concerning gifts to WSC include: Daisy, Lady Essendon; Leonard Pike, Agent General for Queensland [Australia]; George Mercer Nairne [8th Lord Lansdowne], Private Secretary to the British Ambassador to France on presents from French admirers of WSC; Dingle Foot; Vincent Lawford of the Foreign Office and [John] Nicholas Henderson, Assistant Private Secretary to Foreign Secretary, advising WSC on overseas gifts; Sir Joseph Nall; and Malcolm Robertson, Chairman of the British Council.Also includes: copies of correspondence from WSC to the individuals mentioned above; notes and copies of correspondence from John Peck [Private Secretary to WSC] and Edith Watson [Secretary to WSC]; and a pamphlet entitled "Leurs Gueules.".
