Correspondents include: Ralph Assheton [later 1st Lord Clitheroe], Chairman of the Conservative Party Organisation with a draft article for WSC; Geoffrey Lloyd, Minister of Information, on WSC's election film speech; [Edward] Guy Schofield, Editor of the Evening News; Harold Macmillan [later 1st Lord Stockton] on the effect of WSC's broadcast; and [1st Lord] Margesson.Also includes: copies of correspondence from WSC to the individuals mentioned above; notes and copies of correspondence from John Colville, John Peck, and Leslie Rowan [Private Secretaries to WSC]; drafts of WSC's articles on the end of the war with Japan and on demobilisation; newspaper cuttings of his messages deploring party conflict and of cartoons; a Cabinet Office paper on ministers writing for the press; and a newspaper cutting of an article by Leslie Hore Belisha on national insurance.
