Correspondents include: [Guy] Millard of the Foreign Office on matters concerning gifts from abroad (2); General Sir Reginald Wingate, President of the Friends of the Fighting Forces, on the Friends' Chairman delivering a present of sweaters from the Philadelphia (United States) branch; Reverend [Percy] Middleton Brumwell sending a brochure on the Royal Army Chaplains Department [not included]; Thomas Hunter on a paper weight from a constituent; [Arthur] Clark [Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for the Dominions] and [6th] Lord Clarina [earlier Eyre Massey] on a thumbstick from Clarina; Gilbert Coleridge on a plaster model of WSC; [Colin] Thornley [Principal Private Secretary to Secretary of State for the Colonies] on cigars from Jamaica (2); Sir Geoffrey Callender [Director] of the National Maritime Museum (3), Harold Currie (5), [Clifford] Jarrett [Principal Private Secretary to First Lord of the Admiralty], and Irene Ward (3) on Currie giving WSC a portion of the ensign carried by HMS Victory at Trafalgar; Michael Dewar sending a model of a Sherman tank; Sir Robert Evans sending books used in the teaching of Basic English.
