Correspondents include: Queen Mary asking WSC to autograph a photograph; [6th] Lord Hood [Private Secretary to the Minister of Information] on supplying a F Hourani with information on WSC's ancestor Colonel Charles Churchill; [Emmanuel] Tsouderos, Prime Minister of Greece, and James Gardiner, Canadian Minister of Agriculture, sending Christmas and New Year greetings. Also includes notes and copies of correspondence from Prime Minister's Private Secretaries "J R C" [John Colville], "E M W" [Edith Watson], and "T L R" [Leslie Rowan], and WSC's secretary [Kathleen] Hill.Other subjects include: an article by WSC published in a University of Michigan [United States] magazine in 1901; money owed over the Lord Kitchener film project; general messages of support for WSC; requests for WSC's support for an appeal and permission to reproduce one of his paintings.Also includes: Other Club rule and membership book; Air Ministry account of the "Battle of Britain" sent on by Hilary Saunders; "Problems of Jurisdiction and Venue" by Gustavus Ohlinger, reprinted from Cornell Law Quarterly [United States]; translation of a broadcast by Hourani on "Churchill and Lebanon"; note by "F D R" [President Franklin Roosevelt] on WSC's design for a "commodity dollar"; extracts from speeches made by WSC between 1907 and 1917 on the land monopoly.
