Scope and Contents
'Retrospect: Ideal Architecture and the Essence of Cambridge' from St. Edmund's Record no. 12,
1997 - 1998, and 'A Nova-Scotian in Cambridge: some very tentative speculations on the architecture of King's College', by John Devlin. Devlin proposes a theory that the proportions and juxtaposition of the Chapel with the Gibbs building help to create the 'Cambridge mood' or ambience, and tries to quantify this through the 'architectural numerology of ratios'.
