Scope and Contents Henry VI (1421-71) King of England and Lord of Ireland, and duke of Aquitaine founded King's College. This large coloured chalk drawing by Thomas Orde (Fellow 1768-78) was copied from a stained glass panel of Founder Henry VI in the side-chapel dedicated to Provost Hacomblen. With iron gall ink inscription (on separate sheet). Medium: natural red sanguine, umber, blue and white chalks with touches of blue watercolours on 18C J. Whatman laid paper.
