Immediate Source of Acquisition
It is not known when this volume was received at King's. It was initially catalogued as a library book with shelf-marks T.14.27 and 40.A.16. It is annotated ‘Transferred to the Modern Archives 21.v.82’. It was noticed c. 2010 on a shelf in the Modern Archives store and catalogued as SC/Unknown/12 in November 2016.
This volume may have been given by (Edward) Hugh Neale Dalton, Baron Dalton (1887-1962, KC 1906) who was the Minister of Economic Warfare May 1940-February 1942. Other possibilities for its origin are RE Balfour (REB/3/2/1 includes the map section for the counterpart 'Germany Basic Handbook'), JRN Stone or JM Keynes.
