'Dictionary of Birds' by Alfred Newton, assisted by Ilans Gadow with contributions by others. Published in London by Adam and Charles Black, 1893. Inscribed on the cover of volume 1 'G.H. Wollaston from G.C.C. Ap 2nd 1897' and 'AFR Wollaston'. Two letters [from Gedge] to Pryor have been tipped-in to volume 1. A bookplate for Irvine Smith is stuck into the first volume and annotated 'Found on David's book stall, Cambridge 1942'.
