Scope and Contents
The file comprises:-
- typescripts 'Capitalist evolution in the light of Keynesian economics', given at the University of Peking, 11 May 1956, with news cutting reporting the speech, 12 Sept.;
- autograph manuscript list of articles by NK, 1940-4, date of compilation unknown;
- 2 typescript lectures on development: 'Characteristics of economic development' and 'Problems of accelerated growth', [c.1956];
- part of a typescript article on the state of China's economy, no date or indication of author;
- 1 typed letter signed from T. L. Horabin, 18 May 1945;
- circulated correspondence, agenda and minutes for a meeting of the London School of Economics Board of Studies in Economics, 24 Oct. 1945;
- news cuttings reporting NK's speech on international economic organisation and employment, Dec. 1943, and his writings on the Beveridge report on social security;
- part of an article from 'The Times' reporting the budget, 24 Oct.1945;
- autograph manuscript draft of letter from NK to 'The Times', undated.

The majority of the Kaldor papers are readily available to scholars in the Archive Centre, by appointment. However, some material is reserved. In the College's opinion the contents of these files might be considered confidential or offensive by persons other than the author. There is no access to such material for the time being. Such material is identified by a specific 'Conditions Governing access' note at the item level of the catalogue, worded 'This file is reserved' or similar.
