Scope and Contents
This series includes exchanges with family, friends and colleagues on a variety of topics. Substantial amounts of letters were exchanged with the Keynes family, but correspondents also included those whom Lydia knew in the dance world, such as fellow ballerina Margot Fonteyn, the artistic director of the Ballet Russe, Leon Bakst, and André Derain. The Bloomsbury circle is also represented, with correspondents including Clive and Vanessa Bell, T.S. Eliot, E.M. Forster, Roger Fry, David and Angelica Garnett, and the Woolfs.
