Scope and Contents

Many of these photographs appeared in Country Life, in 1926. Some have been annotated on the back and marked up for publication in Part IV of Christopher Hussey's article in Country Life. Where the image is known to have appeared in Country Life, the page number has been given in brackets. The photographs show King's College Chapel from the bridge; the Porter's Lodge and Wilkin's building from the North West; the Gibbs' building and the West end of the Chapel from Wilkin's Screen; Gibbs' building and the West end of the Chapel from the entrance to staircase D; West side of the Gibbs' building arch; Gibbs' building and the West end of the Chapel; East side of the Gibbs' building arch (p.33); the Porter's Lodge, Wilkin's Screen and the Chapel, also showing the fence (p.34); Wilkin's building (p.34); interior of the Hall (p.35); the fountain (p.36); Porter's Lodge viewed from underneath the Gibbs' building arch; Hawkesmoor's first model for the West side of the Court (p.37) and Hawkesmoor's second model for the East side of the Court (p.37).
