Biographical / Historical
The recitals take place each Saturday after Evensong (they are not held during Long Vacation term) and are administered by the office of the Director of Music. Admission is free. Sometimes people write in to offer to give a recital or the Director himself invites possible recitalists. The Director of Music and the organ scholar(s) give a recital each term.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
In October 2020 the Director of Music's office transferred the programmes from January 2005 to December 2008 and they were added to the existing file already held with this reference number. Duplicates of the 2005-June 2008 copies (previously held) were discarded.
Appraisal
Retain the programmes and inserts only, not the advertising sheets unless they contain supplementary information.
