Fragment of the shroud of Henry VI and notes relating to it, 1484-08 - 1911-06-02
Scope and Contents
Manuscript note about the circumstances around acquisition of the fragment, exhibition caption, and the 'fragment of the silk in which the bones of Henry VI were wrapped when they were removed to Windsor Castle, August 1484' mounted between two pieces of glass. The fragment was removed from Henry VI's coffin at Windsor Castle by W H St John Hope and M R James on 4 Nov 1910.
