Notebook containing Greek lines, and some correspondence, 1873 - 1897
Scope and Contents
This notebook contains postcards pasted in which contain Greek and Latin lines (some translated) and a printed notice of the first Cambridge Greek play. The notice, written by Henry F Wilson, is dated 23 May 1882. Tucked into the notebook are a letter dated 16 March [1897] from Frederick W Farrar to Sir Edwin Arnold about publicity in the Daily Telegraph, a letter dated 16 Feb 1873 from [James F] Stephen to 'Knowles', and a draft poem [by James K Stephen] beginning 'As I was passing in my boat/I paid a call on Harry'.
