Biographical / Historical
Ogbourne priory - daughter house of the Abbey of Bec in Normandy - acted as the central administration for the Abbey's lands in England. The priory and the attached manors of Ogbourne St George, Ogbourne St Andrew and Aldbourne were granted to the College at the Foundation by Henry VI - documents originally held by the priory through its administration of the Bec estates are kept under KCAR/6/2/115/1 Priory.
