Thring, Edward, 1887 - 1920
Scope and Contents
Edward Thring (1821-1887) came up to King's from Eton in 1841. He was Head Master of Uppingham School and founded the Headmasters' Conference in 1869. This is a large print of a photograph by H S Mendelseohn, an 'artist's first proof' signed by M Hanhart, printed by Beynon & Company fine art publishers and engravers.
