Scope and Contents

Andrew Snape (1675-1742) went to Eton in 1683 and was elected a scholar to King's in 1689. He was headmaster of Eton 1711-19 and Provost of King's from 1720 until his death in 1742. He was buried in the south aisle of St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. This is an engraving of Snape.
