Scope and Contents
Augustus Austen Leigh (1840-1905) attended Eton College from 1852 to 1859, whereupon he came up to King's as a scholar. He was made a Fellow in 1862, BA in 1863, and MA in 1866. He briefly tried curacy but returned to King's, where he was tutor 1868-81, Dean 1871-73 and 1882-85, and Vice-Provost 1877-89, and finally Provost from 1889.
