'Libri communarum' [commons books], 1447 - 1664
Scope and Contents
Dining accounts. Most were bound during the 18th century in groups of 3 or 4 years. Volume numbers in brackets are those assigned at the time of binding. The accounting year ran from Michaelmas to Michaelmas. Accounts for 1483-1487 are divided between successive volumes. Therefore, the names of persons dining in a particular year may be in a separate volume from the lists of provisions bought in that year.
