Bird's- eye view of the Advent carol service, 1959
Scope and Contents
Christmas card from photographer John Bulmer (KC 1957) to Isitt (KC 1946), featuring a photograph by Bulmer taken during the Advent carol service. The photograph is a bird's-eye view of the east end of the chapel taken from the roofspace using a camera tied to a string lowered from a hole in the ceiling above the altar. The service is candle-lit; the only electric light is the organist's. Alec Vidler is seen on the left of the altar and Isitt on the right.
