Biographical / Historical
One of the mulberry trees in Webb's Court was removed in 1930 as it had become unsightly due to age [see 1930 Annual Report, page 14]. A cutting of a mulberry tree that had been planted in the garden of the Girdlers' Company by James I was given to the College by V F Crowther-Smith and planted in Webb's Court [see 1949 Annual Report, page 22].
