Biographical / Historical
The leasehold of 1 Cranmer Road, aka Kingscote, was held for a time by King's. King's College purchased the leasehold on 'Grasshopper Lodge' at 39 Grange Road in 1982 and developed it with a link to the existing College property at 1 Cranmer Road to provide 28 study bedrooms for students. The whole was called Grasshopper Lodge. In 1992 the College purchased 3 Cranmer Road and converted it to provide 17 graduate student rooms.
