King's College Chapel, 1937 - 1962
Scope and Contents
Wooden box containing lantern slides for a lecture on King's College Chapel, including plans, the choir procession, interior and exterior photographs of the building and drawings. One edge of the box is marked 'Start here'. The images in slides numbered KC 1-34 appeared in three chapters in 'Country Life', in May 1926, although they have used additional images. Some of the numbers in the top right corners of the slides seem to match those annotated in pencil with a circle around them in Saltmarsh's typescript lecture notes (JS/1/22/5). There is a note after KC 41, saying 'KC.42-47 are of larger size, and are separately packed.', in Saltmarsh's handwriting. There are slides marked KC.42-47 in JS/4/12.
