Scope and Contents
This file comprises several papers generated by Kennedy and Nightingale when making improvements. It includes: 5 numbered plans of the ground, first and second floors, north and west elevations and sections, north and east elevations of the Library, details of the main staircase and sections through the north and west wings, scales: 2 inches, 4 inches and 8 inches to 1 foot; further series of coloured plans of the ground and first floors (3 versions) and the floor, section, south, west and north elevations of the Library, with specification of works and materials, scales: 4 inches to 1inch and 8 feet to 1 inch; preliminary sketch plan of the drawing and dining rooms and J.M. Keynes and Lydia Lopokova Keynes' bedrooms, annotated by J.M. Keynes, scale: 4 feet to 1 inch; and a line tracing of part of 25" O.S. map showing Tilton.
