Scope and Contents
This series contains photographs of J.M. Keynes, his friends and family, and other photographs from his personal collection, including photographs of him as a child, at Cambridge University, on holidays, and meeting with economists and leaders at conferences.It includes both original prints of photographs and several modern reprints made since c.1980. It also includes several picture postcards acquired by J.M. Keynes on holiday and political cartoons of J.M. Keynes. Many items were formerly catalogued under PP/85.

The photos are arranged in chronological order, with photographs from PP/85 merged into the new PP/94 system. Items with a PP/85 number, unless otherwise noted, had been catalogued before that as PP/28.
Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
Many outsized items were rehoused in melinex, 13 December 2018.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
The collection JMK/PP/85 was significantly enlarged by an accession from Milo Keynes’ estate in November 2016.
