Scope and Contents
This series comprises documents related to John Maynard Keynes' duties in the Treasury Office during World War I and, more specifically, papers related to the problem of war finance. They include items related to his post as assistant to Sir George Paish (January-May 1915), documents generated while a member of the First, or Finance, Division (May 1915-February 1917) and papers created or used by Keynes as head of the 'A' Division (February 1917-January 1919).
