Scope and Contents
Autograph manuscript journal containing an account of planting, maintenance, staff and the depredations of weather, disease and pests in the Fellows' Garden, Backs and College lawns. 1933-92. Includes, loose tucked into pocket at the back, 1 typed letter, signed, from H.W. Richmond to George Salt recalling garden history and the layout of College buildings from the 1880s, including Bodley's intentions, 3 Sept. 1944, and a photocopy of pp. 260-1 from A. Austen-Leigh's 'King's College' (1899) describing the laying out of the Fellows' Garden in 1851.
