Lytton Strachey and others drinking tea at Ham Spray House, 1928 - 1929
Scope and Contents
Snapshot of Jimmy Doggart (indexed by Frances Partridge as Jimmie Doggart, oculist, 'The Dog'), sitting nearest the camera to the left. He has his legs crossed, his hands rest on his right leg, and he looks towards the camera. Part of his head and side are cut off from the edge of the photograph. Frances Partridge sits next to him, looking towards the camera. Next to her sits Alec Penrose, who looks to the right. Lytton Strachey sits in a low chair, so only his head is visible above the table. He looks towards the camera. Frances Penrose sits next to Lytton and looks towards the camera with her chin resting in her hands. Ralph Partridge sits nearest the camera to the right, looking down at a cat named Tiber who lies on his lap. The table is covered in a checked cloth and is laid with a teapot and teacups.
