Lytton Strachey leans forward in a deckchair next to her, with his legs crossed at the ankles and his left elbow resting on his left knee. He looks to the right at Roger Senhouse. Roger Senhouse sits in a deckchair with a pipe in his mouth and a magazine or newspaper in his lap. His legs are crossed and he looks to the left. Stephen Tomlin sits on the grass nearest the camera, supporting himself with his left hand behind him. He has a cigarette in his mouth and looks to the left.
