Forster is beyond him, his right elbow on the side of the boat, also looking to the right. A small boy wearing a knitted cap is at the tiller, looking to the right. Benjamin Britten sits beside him, full face, and Bill Burrell wearing a white cap, profile to the left, is sitting on the side opposite E.M. Forster, the object of the others' attention.
