Professional studio portrait of Bob Buckingham, dressed as in EMF/27/547, standing with his back to the wall, head and shoulders, in full profile to the right. There is a picture on the further wall to the right. Taken in London. Print, 19.8 x 15.6. Inscribed on back, by E.M. Forster, '2 copies (1 to R.J.B.) / Can you 'shave' the cheek to the right of / the ear? Don't do this, however, if / it is going to spoil the surface. / Also there's an ugly little hump on the back of the / coat. Had this better be left or not?', also 'Bob Buckingham', 'Bob' and 'Self'.
