Scope and Contents
Professional studio portrait of E.M. Forster, seated, full length, wearing white robes with embroidered flowers or emblems, over white trousers, a silk shawl resting on his knees and a small dark turban. Taken at Indore and mounted on card, 30.6 x 24.6 (photograph 18.6 x 13.7). Inscribed on front of mount, by the Maharajah of Dewas, 'Mr E.M. Forster in his full official robes at an Indian Court' and signed by the Maharajah 'Tukoji Rao Puar / 31.10.21'. (Oversize)
