Daguerreotype of Mrs. Cam [probably Emily] Sykes in late middle age. She is seated, holding a teacup, and [?] Whitmore as a young woman offering a plate with a biscuits, standing to the left. Mrs Sykes is wearing a dark dress and white ruffled cap, her left foot resting on a velvet footstool, the younger woman is wearing a white dress with a grey shawl. Both look to the camera. Daguerreotype, 8 x 6.7. Inscribed on back in unidentified hand, 'Mother (Mrs Cam Sykes) / and aunt / Whitmore / 1853'. (On Glass)
