Scope and Contents
Daguerreotype of Cam Sykes, husband of Emily Thornton (Marianne Thornton's niece). He is wearing a dark coat, waistcoat and watch-chain, seated on a carved chair, his right arm is resting on a carved table upon which is placed his top hat. He holds a walking cane in his right hand and his left hand is in his pocket. Daguerreotype, 7.9 x 6.3. Inscribed on back of mount, in unidentified hand, 'Cam / 1858'. (On Glass)
