Photograph of Laura Forster (née Thornton, 1808-69) and her daughter Edith Forster (1845-68). Laura Forster is seated, facing the camera but eyes down, holding a cup and saucer, taking an item from a plate which Edith Forster offers her. Edith Forster is standing to the right in a plain white dress. Mounted on card, 10.3 x 6.3 (photograph 9.1 x 5.7). Inscribed in album, by E.M. Forster, 'Mrs Forster (grandmother). Edith' and inscribed on back, possibly by Alice Clara Forster, 'Mrs Forster / Edith Forster'. (Sleeve 23)
