E.M.L. Forster's design for a mantelpiece, built and given to Mrs. Synnott (Mrs. Aylward) in the 1870s, and given by Mrs. Aylward to E.M.L. Forster's widow, E.M. Forster's mother, in the 1880s. E.M.
