1923: embarrassed to hear from Doerpfeld of fund set up for her, asks Murray for only modest contribution; on Francis Cornford's "Origins of Drama" [Attic Comedy?] and his wife's influence on his writing; enjoys company of Americans, living at the American University Women's Club in Paris, 1 Jan; from Abbaye de Pontigny, participating in 'entretiens', 10-day sessions of intellectual discussions, etc run by Paul Desjardins, where 'I have lost my heart to a Bear Prince' (Mirsky), 29 Aug; more on delights of Pontigny and wanting Murray to participate next year, 18 Sep, 20 Nov. 1924: in Cambridge, insists Gilbert Murrayattend Pontigny sessions in August, 18 Jul; back in Paris on receipt of letter from Gilbert Murray responds: 'all said and done you are the creature in the whole world whose good word I most care for'; tries to arrange meeting between Gilbert Murray and Charles Dubos, [Sep/Nov 1924]; sends him ' The Life of the Archpriest Avvakum', translated by herself and Hope Mirrlees, with preface by Mirsky, 5 Nov. 1925: bemoans fact that French Senate prevents Gilbert Murray from coming to Paris, 25 Feb. also: Gilbert Murray to Jane Harrison, moving letter, on language, inter alia, 24 Dec 1924
